Alva Beach, about 10 minutes away - AWESOME!

This is a beautiful beach not the usual mudflat type beach one often finds in the northern parts of Queensland. Hopefully we won't run into any crocs here, but stinger season runs from December to May so not safe to get in at the moment. They are Box Jellyfish and their sting can kill you so we won't push our luck. I love the pic of the old farts on the quad bike. We will have to see if we can get hold of one so we can whiz along the sand too.
