Road Trip!

Had to have a trip to Darwin. Ian let me take his new car, hehehe, so I didn't have to worry about getting stuck because of water on the road. This one has much better clearance than the Jeep did. Here are some of the sights.

Fannie Bay had the look of the Caribbean this morning, I wanted to jump right in, but alas, the crocs and the stingers prevent that. The clouds were beautiful but foretold the afternoon rains.



Couple of hours later, on the way home, the rains came. It comes down so densely that it is hard to breathe, it is like you inhale the rain!



Made it through the rain and noticed these guys having a graze, they almost all looked at the camera and smiled.



There is always one loner, hanging out by the termite mound.



Last but not least, my favorite part of the trip is a stop at Annaburru, I always save a part of my lunch to share with the emus!
This guy has a naked neck, but is pretty cute anyhow.
