Jocelyn on the Roof

Had to go out to Mudginberri the other night and when we arrived, there was Jocelyn sitting on the roof. When I asked her why, her reply was simple, "I felt like it!"

Meanwhile the little kids were cooling off in their own kid size swimming pools!

Jabiru Sightings!

Have been seeing a lot of jabirus lately, they are so big! This one was taken on the way home from Darwin.



These were taken at the lake, I guess he didn't like having his picture taken! Notice the plover at the bottom right of the photo

Big Rain Ahead

Took this on the way home from Darwin. Love the menacing sky ahead, gonna hit some rain soon. Notice how the highway crews prepare by grading the sides of the road, hopefully when the big rains come, the water will mostly be channeled away in these ditches instead of flooding the road.

Tree Climbing Bird Dog

Bird really thought she was a bird or maybe a squirrel this time. She started sniffing at this tree and then went right up. I couldn't believe it, course right after I took the last photo when she was about 6 feet off the ground, she realized where she was and tried to turn around, that was when she fell!!! Thank goodness it was soft sand to land in, she good up, shook herself off, looked embarrassed and took off in search of more adventure.

LIGHTNING!
