Fish Story!!!

This is pretty amazing. That is one big fish and let me tell you Shane is one big boy! He is over 6' and not a skin and bones kind of bloke so you can tell it is a biggie. Worst part is you can't eat them after they have been bitten by a croc, something about the bacteria, too bad he would have fed a few people!

The Trip Home

I like these photos that show how long and lonely this road is. Note the coolers on the top of the car, the inside was loaded with stock for the store so they had to go in the basket. Now the bad part is, I can't get them up there when they are full of ice and groceries so this old lady has to climb up onto the top of the car to load them. Life is hard in the bush!!!

Remember a while back when I showed you the picture of the birds sitting on the wire with the lush green all around, well this is how it looks now, no birds and all burned by the sun and the fire. The other photo was called Ducks in a Row, this one is No Ducks in a Row!

Here are some corellas sitting in a grevillia tree. It almost looks like a pine tree, reminds me of a Christmas card.

This is a dead buff along the side of the road, it looks as if someone set it up there and like it is made of plastic, well I can tell you it isn't plastic but I have no idea what killed it, didn't look like it was hit by a car???

I also saw a couple of live ones. One has horns going up in the usual fashion the other's has downturned horns. I was talking to Dave Lindner the buffalo expert and he said that at one time they were putting radio collars on them and tracking their movements. He says that after the collars were put on their horns turned downward and no one could figure out why. They look funny that is for sure.

And when I looked back the way I had come, this was the view of the setting sun.
