Memorial Day - Anzac Day

Both are the day set aside to honor those who have given their all in the service of their country. Here are some pictures of the Jabiru Anzac (Australia New Zealand Army Corps) Dawn Ceremony.

Here is Ian at the podium giving the opening address for the service. Still pretty dark and more stars than you can ever imagine out here with very little light polution.

The soldiers, diggers they are called here, stand guard around the memorial.

Fire and Rescue personnel stand guard as well, we call them "firies."

Ian lays the wreath for the town council.

Kathryn Ralph and Jessie Hunter lay a wreath donated by Kakadu Culture Camp.
